Charting new pathways for material exploration

For Milan Design Week 2026, 70Materia and the CARA \ DAVIDE design studio present Super Giunto 0,0,0, an installation showcased in the window of D.A.T.E.'s flagship store, the Italian sneaker brand known for its material-driven approach.

The installation features two geometric side tables crafted from a bespoke 70Materia® mix developed especially for the brand. Set against a black grid, Progetto Verde Alpi comes to the fore, reinterpreting D.A.T.E.’s signature green, in combination with Basalto. Two pairs of white-based Progetto panels complete the composition, serving respectively as the base and the partition separating the two tables.

The project builds on an ongoing collaboration with CARA \ DAVIDE, shaped by a creative dialogue, grounded on continuous experimentation. For last year's Design Week, the Milan-based duo developed Super Giunto, an innovative material that pairs the 70Materia® mix with a steel grid to form a seamless, self-supporting surface. This year's iteration will evolve, in the coming months, into a brand-new collection of furnishings.

Super Giunto 0,0,0 reflects some of the key values of 70Materia: material versatility and seamless continuity between furnishings and surfaces; the use of sustainable, locally-sourced raw materials; collaboration with emerging design studios such as CARA \ DAVIDE; and a cross-pollination with a brand like D.A.T.E., which for over twenty years has blended design, materials and function in a distinctive way.

The installation will be on display at the D.A.T.E. flagship store in Via Ponte Vetero 11, Milan, as from 17 April. The official presentation and public opening are scheduled for Thursday, 23 April.
